These are trying times.

Yesterday, my mother came home at noon and was rushing. It was unexpected as it was a Saturday, she has work every Saturday. Then she said, “Si Papa mo inatake sa CDO.” “Your father had a heart attack at CDO.” At first I was in denial thinking maybe it was just a heartburn, not a heart attack. But my mother confirmed that it is a heart attack.

I somehow knew that my father has a heart problem, but I never confirmed it until yesterday. Now that the truth is slapped right through my face, I cannot help but be plagued by the fear of what can happen unexpectedly.

I cannot even continue writing this.

Now, all I can do is pray. I am a firm believer of prayers. I know that God won’t let me down.

These are trying times.
